Peggy Noonan’s column today is a brutal (but great) analysis of Clinton’s delusional persistence in this race and the party that is allowing her to linger. From her audacious comments to USA Today about “Working. Hard-working Americans. White Americans.” to her absolute inability to understand simple math. She is looking less and less like the highly accomplished civil servant she has always been and more like Cousin Eddie who is overstaying his welcome. Noonan says:

It’s not math anymore, it’s psychodrama. If she can’t have it, no one can have it. If she has to tear the party apart, she will.

The Obama Campaign has won this thing and they know it. They will not pressure her loudly to drop out, because they don’t need to.  Why beat a dead horse? (sorry, Eight Belles, too soon?) But that said, it is time for these “party elders” to end this thing. Fine, let her go out on a high note after her anticipated win in W. Virginia - but then it is time to end this thing.
